Is that Escalade a Premium Luxury or a Platinum?
On a luxury car, the price gap between trims is wide and the packages are where the money goes. The original window sticker (the Monroney label) shows the trim, standard equipment, each option and package with its price, the destination charge, the total MSRP, the EPA fuel economy figures and the assembly plant.
For a used Escalade, that is often the only clean way to tell a Premium Luxury from a Premium Luxury Platinum, or to confirm which driver-assistance and audio packages were ordered at the factory and which were added later.
What trims does the Escalade come in?
Cadillac names its trims in a ladder that repeats across most models: Luxury, Premium Luxury and Sport, with V-Series models at the performance end.
The 2025 Escalade came in six trims:
| Trim | Notes |
|---|---|
| Luxury | Entry trim |
| Premium Luxury | Adds equipment over Luxury |
| Sport | Similar features to Premium Luxury with a sportier look, mainly wheels and gloss-black trim |
| Premium Luxury Platinum | Top luxury trim |
| Sport Platinum | Sport styling with Platinum-level equipment |
| V-Series | Performance model with its own fascias and a supercharged V8 |
The current lineup also includes the Escalade ESV (the long-wheelbase version), the electric Escalade IQ, Lyriq, Optiq and Vistiq (a 2026 model), the CT4 and CT5 sedans with their V-Series and Blackwing versions, and the XT5 and XT6 crossovers. Cadillac ended XT4 production in January 2025, so most XT4s you’ll see are used.
Where is the RPO label on a Cadillac?
- VIN plate: on the driver’s side of the dashboard, visible through the windshield, and on the certification label in the driver’s door opening.
- Certification label QR code: from the 2018 model year, GM added a QR code to the certification label on Cadillac models. On most GM vehicles the label is on the driver’s side B-pillar. Scan it with your phone to see the VIN, build date, the three-character RPO codes and the paint code.
- Service Parts Identification label: older Cadillacs list RPO codes on a printed label, often in the glove box or the trunk.
How do Cadillac RPO codes relate to the sticker?
Cadillac is a GM brand, so it uses GM’s three-character RPO codes for every factory option, from engines and paint to seats and packages. The window sticker writes those options out by name with prices; the RPO codes are on the label and in the build data. The GM build sheet page explains how to read the codes, and the GM paint code page covers color codes, which come as a three-character RPO plus a longer “WA” number used by paint suppliers.
The VIN never contains the paint code; our paint code guide explains why.
How do I get an Escalade window sticker by VIN?
Type in the 17-character VIN and our licensed window-sticker data partner checks whether it holds the original sticker for that Cadillac. The answer shows before any payment. The NHTSA decode, trim and recall count cost nothing, and nhtsa.gov/recalls shows open recalls on the exact VIN. If the sticker is on file, the $9.99 Full Report adds the sticker PDF, each package and option with its original price, the paint code where we can match it, and full recall details. Which Cadillacs are on file depends on the model year. If we show a sticker as available and then can’t deliver it, the refund is automatic.
If none is on file: scan the certification label QR code or read the SPID label for the full RPO list, then ask a Cadillac dealer’s service department to look up the original build. Cadillac Customer Assistance is at 1-800-458-8006, and owner support is on cadillac.com. The original buyer’s purchase agreement usually lists the trim and packages too.
